ESA - Cassini-Huygens - Mimas's Crater Herschel head on
15 February 2005ゴメンナサイ、ゴメンナサイ、、。(^^;;
Saturn's moon Mimas has many large craters, but its Herschel crater dwarfs them all, as seen in this image taken by the NASA/ESA/ASI Cassini spacecraft on 16 January 2005.
This large crater is 130 kilometres wide and has a prominent central peak, seen here almost exactly on the terminator. This crater is the moon's most prominent feature, and the impact that formed it probably nearly destroyed Mimas.
